Nobody ever heard of a Quarter Master, in History, Nathanael Greene as Quartermaster
Philip Greenwalt starts us off with a presentation about the causes and outcomes of supplying the Continental Army during the pivotal winter encampment at Valley Forge and into the campaigning year 1778. From examining the decisions by the Continental Congress, George Washington, and Nathanael Greene, the history behind why the winter of 1777-78 was the one that won the war will be evident.

Reconstructing the Revolution-Era Cultural Landscapes of the Washington-Rochambeau Military Encampments
In Fall 1781, French and American troops marched south through Cecil and Harford Counties to besiege entrenched British forces at Yorktown, Virginia. In late Summer 1782, they made their victorious way north. This talk will present historical background on troop movements in Cecil and Harford Counties, a crash course in the types of geophysical survey used to study these sites, and the preliminary results of the surveys conducted.

Perryville Railroad Museum
Al Walton and Richard Hafer from the Perryville Railroad Museum will explore the history of the railroad in Perryville. Their talk will also highlight the museum's efforts in preserving this rich heritage and their plans for the future.
